Walletts Chartered Certified Accountants is an ACCA certified training practice which provides an atmosphere where you can progress in your examinations, whilst contributing to a thriving accountancy practice.


What are we looking for?


  • We are looking for a dedicated, passionate individual who is looking to advance their career, this may be through continued studying or by learning and advancing with experience

  • Part or fully qualified ACCA or ACA, or equivalent qualification is desirable.

  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Experience must be in practice not industry

  • Good communication skills, being comfortable speaking to members of the team, clients and HMRC.

  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage is preferred.


What we would like you to do


  • Preparation of financial statements for both limited company’s and sole traders

  • Preparation of management accounts

  • Preparation of Corporation tax returns and Self Assessment tax returns

  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns

  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients carrying on our reputation for providing quality client services


Our directors and staff all started at the bottom and worked their way up gaining experience and knowledge along the way, so you see, we know where you’re coming from!  Our team understand all aspects of the role.  It’s our philosophy that we impart this knowledge and experience onto future generations.  So, if in your current role you are not satisfied we want to pass our expertise onto you.


The boring, but important stuff!!


  • 37.5 hours per week between 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch.

  • Hanley city centre location within easy walking distance to everything central!
